Interesting build of a bearing pulling tool. I would only make one difference if I build one. And that is the taper on the bearing pulling forked arms would be to the inside instead of outside. I would drill the initial hole and then use a lot larger drill bit part way through and then weld it on and cut it apart. That way you can get into a very tight areas to pull the bearing. But that is just me.

this is a worm gearbox. Now here is a thing about those. Usually you would do it to get high torque at the output. However, since your gear has a small diameter, it will press on the screw way hard (because of short lever). But the screw has got to slide continously against the gear, worm gearboxes are high friction), and unfortunately the contact patch between gear and screw is really small. This means with high pressure due to small gear, the screw and gear will be metal glitter in no time. In real worm gearboxes these issues are mitigated with a large gear, fitting screw pitch for desired reduction ratio, and specially shaped tooth profiles that maximize the contact patch area so lubricant has a chance to work.

I really like your solution for cutting the gear teeth.

This is talent way when you synchronize speed by VFD on 2 different motors. Can get ratio number for 2 pitch and you used once switch for on-off two VFD? The big problem is when motor start need time to stable motor torque and if low speed mean the torque also will reduce need high power on motor can balance
